CM Punk Rumored To Debut In UFC Before Summer 2016

UFC President Dana White took part in fan Q&A session ahead of UFC 193, and he talked about CM Punk’s pending UFC/MMA debut. White stated that Punk will likely make his UFC debut before the summer of 2016.

White stated,

“He’ll fight – I’m going to say before summer, probably before summer.” White added, “Listen, he doesn’t have any fights yet, man. Let him take his time and work his way in.”

Punk is currently rehabbing a shoulder injury he sustained last month, which has setback his debut. He has been training for MMA at the Roufusport gym with coach Duke Roufus in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Big ROH Match Rumored For NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 10

After winning the Survival of the Fittest 2015 tournament, Michael Elgin cut a promo about wanting his title shot at the ROH World Championship in Japan.

The apparent word backstage in ROH is that Jay Lethal will defend the title against Elgin at NJPW’s Wrestle Kingdom 10 event at the Tokyo Dome. The event is set for January 4, 2016 in Tokyo, Japan.

As with the majority of people who fall in the Venn diagram of people who love comics and also love movies, I am a massive fan of the Back to the Future franchise; this is partly due to its innovation and partly because it’s absolutely and unashamedly ridiculous. Granted, I have only watched through the trilogy once in its entirety, but it made enough of an impression on me that the promise of an anthology series to fill in gaps in continuity sounded like a must buy. WWE Releases Statement on the Passing of Hall of Famer Nick Bockwinkel

As Drew Koscelek posted earlier this morning, WWE Hall of Famer and AWA Champion Nick Bockwinkel sadly passed away at the age of 80.  Bockwinkel was a great champion and quite possibly one of the greatest heels of wrestling, ever.  WWE has released a statement regarding the passing of Bockwinkel, which reads as follows:

WWE is saddened to learn that Nick Bockwinkel, a WWE Hall of Famer and former four time AWA World Heavyweight Champion, has passed away at age 80.

Bockwinkel, known for his great in-ring skill and intelligent interviews, began his sports entertainment career in the mid-1950s after concluding his time on the University of Oklahoma football team. Bockwinkel was trained by his famous father, Warren Bockwinkel, and wrestling legend, Lou Thesz. Nick teamed with his father on many occassions, competing in Georgia, Texas and the Pacific Northwest before moving on to the where he would find…
