North American Release Details for Blue Exorcist Film

Aniplex of America announced during the company’s Anime Weekend Atlanta panel that the company will be releasing the Blue Exorcist anime film on DVD and in a limited edition Blu-ray box set on December 17, 2013.

The Blu-ray set will include the film on Blu-ray Disc and an additional DVD with bonus features. Extras include two commentary tracks by the Japanese cast and staff, promotional trailers, staff interviews, a deluxe booklet, and illustrated postcards in a rigid box with art by original manga author Kazue Kato. The box set will retail for US$89.98.

The DVD release of the film will retail for US$39.98.

Square Enix has released the opening cinematic for the upcoming entry into the Final Fantasy series, Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII.

Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII will be available on 11 February 2014 (USA), and 14 February 2014 (Europe), for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

Nintendo Reveals EB Games Expo 2013 Line-Up


Nintendo has revealed their array of titles that will be available for attendees at this year’s EB Games Expo in Sydney from October 4 – 6 at the Sydney Showground.

In the handheld department Nintendo will be allowing hands-on time with their up-coming titles, such as The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds, Sonic Lost World, Professor Layton and the Azran Legacy, and for the first time in Australia players will have access to Pokémon X and Pokémon Y. Nintendo will also be showcasing the Nintendo 2DS, which will be launching on October 12.

On the Wii U players will be able to experience The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD and Super Mario 3D World. Alongside these titles players will also get hands-on time with Wii Party U and Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze.

Sony Considering Bringing PlayStation Titles to TV, Mobile, PC & More



Sony is considering bringing PlayStation products to TV, smartphones, PC and more.

In an interview with Dengeki Online, Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studios President Shuhei Yoshida spoke about Sony’s ultimate goal once Gaikai services are available on PlayStation 4.

“Speaking of the ultimate goal, we would like to deliver PlayStation games to all devices,” Yoshida said. “So we’re considering various things like PC, TVs, Blu-ray players, smartphones and tablets. We hope to continue to expand not only to Sony devices, but even to devices other than Sony’s. This is still being studied.”

Yoshida explained that Sony would love to deliver PlayStation games, to all devices.

“We previously spoke about PlayStation going from hardware to something closer to a service, regardless of the device — Of course PlayStation will still be the center, but I think we would like to expand to different things.”
