Wii Mini officially announced, exclusive to Canada

UndergrounDuelists

Rumors have been floating around about a slimmed down, pint sized version of the already tiny Wii console: the Wii Mini! Today, Nintendo has announced that the Wii Mini console is indeed real, but will be a Canadian exclusive priced at $99.99. Of course, just like the last Wii revision, Gamecube ports are out, and for the Mini, Wi-Fi capabilities have been stripped from the console. The Wii Mini comes as a red/black console with red Wii Remote Plus and a Nunchuck, aimed towards those that want to get in to motion-controlled gaming without all of the bells and whistles of more advanced models.

Opening Your Day: Final Fantasy VII

JT Lightning

I haven’t really discussed JTLightning, but I wanted to say something now, it being the holidays and all.  I met JT on Myspace a while ago.  He was nice enough to talk to me, which is a lot more than I expected from him since I had approached him because I wanted to get to know the guy who trained my favorite wrestler, Josh Prohibition (https://twitter.com/JoshProhibition).  We had some great talks, he read my blogs and said he enjoyed them, I noticed his beautiful wife on his Myspace page, and he was just really nice and I never expected he would want to get to know me and establish somewhat of a friendship with me.  I had no idea he was sick.  I’m really glad that I took a leap of faith and introduced myself to him because otherwise he would have been to me just another ship passing in the night.

Cyber Monday Sales 2012

Moai Martial Arts

If you saw any of the news footage over this weekend, you probably deemed it wise to abstain from Black Friday shopping this year. Here’s a jolly example of what I mean . . .

Makes you glad to know some self-defense, right?

If you’re a wise martial artist like I try to be, then you know the best way to stay safe is to avoid fights in the first place. That’s why I hold out for Cyber Monday–far less bloodshed!

This would probably be a good time to decry the ever-increasing excess of our consumer culture and to extol the true meaning of the holiday season. As much as I would like to do this, I would be A.) preaching to the coverted, and B.) sounding like a hypocrite, as I, myself, am a retailer.

I think we can all agree that some moderation is called for this year?

Dear Readers

My life gets in the way of my blogging on this site.  I do not want anyone thinking that I am neglecting this site.  I have a lot of ideas I want to bring to fruition, I just have not had the time to sit down and organize how I am going to bring them to life.  I have a piece I need to write for Camel Clutch as well.  Every year during the holidays my blog posts get super erratic due to all the family and friends I am making plans and hanging out with.  Obviously they come first.

This blog will be around for a long time.  I just wanted my readers to know that I am still thinking about them and trying to come up with content that will not disappoint.
